Absinth and orchestras, surrealism and silent film- take a wild ride through the glamour and excitement of 1920’s Berlin in a very special location- Das Ehemalige Stummfilmkino Delphi, a beautiful original 1920‘s silent film cinema in Berlin!

The program will include surrealist theater, silent film, live music, and a very special fashion performance presenting two Berlin designers’ collections, as a part of the official program of the Berlin fashion week!

Skype Duet

Skype Duet received the Jury Prize at the 100° Festival Berlin 2011!

Performed live simultaneously in New York and Berlin via Skype, one woman tries to reach out to the world using a laptop as her only means of communication; a quest for human connection in the modern world. Featuring live online interaction and lots of the unexpected, this piece provides the audience with the opportunity to personally connect with New York City and it's people (and vice verse).

Exposure Berlin

On January 19, 2012, as a part of the Berlin Fashion Week, the theater production Exposure Berlin will premiere in a historic location. Das ehemalige Stummfilmkino Delphi (former silent film cinema Delphi), one of the world’s first movie theatres, was built during the 1920’s at the heart of the Film City Weißensee in Berlin, and is today all but forgotten - but is about to be awakened from its enchanted slumber by Exp osure Berlin.  The award-winning international artist collective per aspera productions, in cooperation with Berlin Fashion designers Gerlinde von Steht and Jana Lehnerl take their inspiration from the classic and modern surrealism as well as the Berlin-produced silent films of the 1920’s, fusing it all with contemporary theater and video arts, and brand-new avant-garde musical and fashion compositions. Exposure Berlin is based on Guillaume Apollinaire’s The Breasts of Tiresias and tackles issues of gender roles, identities and realities. The play will be performed in German, English and French.
